Almaty libraries have become members of the International Federation of IFLA

This significant achievement confirms the high level of professionalism and readiness of cultural institutions of Kazakhstan for international cooperation and exchange of experience.
Since its founding in 1927, IFLA has played a key role in the development of librarianship around the world. This organization brings together librarians, archivists and information professionals from all over the world to promote access to information, freedom of speech and cultural diversity.

The accession of Almaty Libraries to the IFLA not only strengthens their status on the world stage, but also opens up new opportunities for the development of the library community in Kazakhstan. This will contribute to improving library services, sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues from other countries, as well as raising the cultural level among the residents of the city.
