PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK “THE MAGIC CHAIR” BY JAPANESE WRITER YOSHIKO KOYAMA

In the city youth library named afterZhambyl was presented with a book by Japanese writer Yoshiko Koyama “The Magic Chair” for children and toddlers, published with the support of the Atamura Corporation.

The book “Dozo no isu” was first published in 1981 and immediately became a bestseller among children’s literature publications, translated into more than 50 languages of the world. Atamura Publishing House translated this tale from Japanese into Kazakh and republished it under the title “The Magic Chair”. The book was translated by Farida Kishimoto, a well-known translator of the Kazakh language, our countryman, currently living in Japan.

The artistically designed book tells young readers about kind and caring animals who helped each other. In the fairy tale, the hare made a bench and offered her a “Magic Chair”.

In addition, during the event, Atamura Corporation presented 75 copies of the book “The Magic Chair” to the library.
