Branch № 4 – One of the Largest and Leading Libraries in Almaty.
History of the Library
Opened in 1974, the library holds a significant place in the cultural life of the city. In 2021, it underwent a full modernization, and since 2024, it has transitioned to a 24/7 operation. This format has led to a significant increase in visitors and a high level of user satisfaction.
Book Collection
The library’s collection consists of approximately 34,000 books, and the annual number of visits exceeds 350,000. It serves readers of all ages and interests.
Modern Technologies
The library is equipped with an RFID system (Radio Frequency Identification), which includes:
- RFID gates
- Self-service terminal
Additionally, the branch has specialized workstations with software and hardware that support audio output and a Braille display, making the library accessible to people with special needs.
