A patriotic evening dedicated to Republic Day was held at the Almaty Library

On the eve of one of the country’s main national holidays — Republic Day — a patriotic evening titled “Live Forever, My Proud Eagle — Kazakhstan!” took place on October 22 at the Central City Library named after A.P. Chekhov. This event once again demonstrated that Almaty libraries are true centers of spirituality, culture, and enlightenment.
The main goal of the evening was to promote national spirit and patriotic values, to strengthen young people’s love for their homeland, and to foster respect for state symbols and cultural traditions. The audience enjoyed heartfelt patriotic songs and touching poems, while video presentations showcasing the achievements of independent Kazakhstan filled the hall with a deep sense of pride.
The honorary guests of the event included representatives of the creative intelligentsia and public associations. Among them were the member of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan and well-known poet Bolat Sharakymbai; representatives of the Almalinsky District Council of Veterans; member of the Kurdish Association of Kazakhstan “Barbent” Bekir ogly Etiri Aliyevna; active participant of the Congress of Tatars and Bashkirs of Kazakhstan Kamariya Kiyamovna Mansurova; and Deputy Chair of the Azerbaijani association “ATA YURD – NOMAD” Nasikha Gumarovna Kenzhina. The guests shared their thoughts on the contributions of their ethnic communities to Kazakhstan’s development and emphasized the importance of unity and interethnic harmony.
A special highlight of the evening was the performance by the quartet of the Almaty City Akimat Concert Orchestra under the direction of Murat Serikbayev, as well as a charming appearance by the “Almaty Grandmothers” — representatives of the fashion world who have graced stages in Italy, Spain, and China.
The patriotic evening “Live Forever, My Proud Eagle — Kazakhstan!” was not merely a festive event, but a heartfelt expression of love and gratitude to the Motherland. Initiatives like this reflect the significant contribution of Almaty libraries to strengthening national consciousness and spiritual and cultural values, inspiring the younger generation to cherish Kazakhstan’s rich heritage and contribute to its further development.
