Library One Click Away: Almaty Libraries Launch Mobile App

Since March of this year, the mobile application of Almaty Libraries has been officially launched in Almaty. The app was first presented to the general public at the “KitapFest-2026” book festival.

The new application provides users with convenient access to library services in a digital format. Readers can now register for a library card online and browse the book collection remotely. In addition, registered users will receive up-to-date information about upcoming events and new arrivals, as well as quickly find the nearest library.

The electronic library card issued through the app is valid across all branches and can be used at self-service stations.

Moreover, the home delivery service for books (free for people with disabilities) is now available through the mobile application.

Thus, library services are becoming even more accessible – they can now be used anytime by simply downloading the mobile app.

Currently, the application is available for Android users. A version for Apple iOS devices is expected to be launched in the near future.
