At the Almaty Book Fair, new releases were showcased

In celebration of Nowruz, the libraries of Almaty organized a book fair on Arbat Street for the city’s residents and guests, where anyone could purchase necessary literature.

This year, the book fair brought together 14 leading Kazakhstani publishing houses, offering a wide range of works, including classics, contemporary bestsellers, books on education, art, and culture. Special attention was drawn to the presentation of the book “The ABCs of Artificial Intelligence” by expert in artificial intelligence and IT technologies, journalist Meirjan Auelkhanuly.

The fair not only provided a unique opportunity to replenish personal libraries with books on various topics and genres but also allowed visitors to participate in a cultural event. Everyone had the chance to get closer to the works of writers and poets during thematic meetings.

“The culture of reading books is gradually returning to our lives. Today, we are witnessing the growth of the book market, the emergence of many publishing houses, and an increase in the number of works, especially in the state language. Moreover, world literature is actively being translated into Kazakh, making it accessible to a wider audience in our country. Now is the perfect time to step away from the daily hustle and devote attention to spiritual enrichment,” said Essey Zhenisuly, the editor-in-chief of the national magazine “Akzhelken”.
