Literary and musical evening in honor of the 100th anniversary of Muzafar Alimbayev

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the famous Kazakh poet, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan Muzaffar Alimbayev, a literary and musical evening was held on September 27 at the I.A. Krylov City Children’s Library.
The editor of the magazine “Baldyrgan” Duisen Magzumov made an introductory speech. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Beibit Sarybai, as well as Bakhtiar Muzaffarov, the poet’s grandson.
During the event, folk songs and poems of the poet were performed by students of Gymnasium No. 140. The wife of the famous poet K. Bekkhozhin, Zaida Bekkhozhina, shared warm memories of Muzaffar Alimbayev. As part of the evening, the presentation of M. Alimbayev’s book “Alakai, balakai” took place. The presentation ceremony was attended by poet Bolat Usenbayev, Deputy Director of Almaty Libraries Spataeva L. M. A lot of children’s games related to proverbs, riddles and tongue twisters, which have already become treasures of Kazakh literature, were held.
