Nauryz on Almaty’s Arbat: Book Fair and Creative Meetings

The Libraries of Almaty held a vibrant cultural program on Arbat Street, dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz. Guests immersed themselves in the atmosphere of national traditions, creativity, and live communication, while also having the opportunity to purchase literature at the book fair.

One of the key events was an art meeting with actor and composer Baigalі Esenaliev, who shared his creative journey and fascinating stories from the world of art.

“Nauryz for me symbolizes renewal. It’s a time of new hopes and beginnings, a fresh perspective on the world. I wish everyone to maintain the youth of spirit and strive for new heights,” said Baigalі Esenaliev, a distinguished figure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event also featured the presentation of the book “Kіz Үi” by writer Bulbul Kapqyzy, where the author spoke about the symbolism and significance of the traditional Kazakh dwelling.

Visitors eagerly participated in ethnographic quizzes and national games, testing themselves in traditional entertainment. Young poets performed folk songs and “terme” (traditional poetic recitations), while the concert program gave the audience vivid impressions.

Special interest was drawn by creative workshops, where guests could try their hand at national arts. Interactive platforms and themed zones allowed everyone to feel the spirit of Nauryz.
