Services for Visually Impaired

We are pleased to inform you that visually impaired readers have access to
specialized library services at several branches of our library.
These services are provided to individuals who are totally blind as well as those with impaired vision.

Readers have the opportunity to:
– Use library computers equipped with specialized software;
– Scan, recognize, and read printed books and other documents;
– Search and process information available on the internet, as well as read library electronic books;
– Read Braille literature.

These services are offered by staff at the following branches:
– Central City Library named after A. P. Chekhov, located at: Almalinsky District, Gogol Street, 109;
– ALATAU CREATIVE HUB, located at: Alatau District, Nurkent Microdistrict, 5/11;
– Mass Library Branch No. 14, located at: Bostandyk District, Rimsky-Korsakov Street, 3;
– Library Branch No. 4, located at: Almalinsky District, Abay Avenue, 141.
