«Жүректе қалған әуен»: Shamshi’s Songs Resonated in Children’s Hearts

On August 14, the No. 29 City Children’s Library hosted a festive event dedicated to the creative legacy of the outstanding Kazakh composer Shamshi Kaldayakov, titled «Жүректе қалған әуен». The educational and music-filled event was attended by second-grade students from School No. 145.
During the event, the children learned interesting facts about Shәмші Қалдаяқов’s life and creative journey and listened to some of the composer’s most beloved songs. Throughout the evening, Shәмші’s melodic compositions were performed, filling the library with the distinctive spirit of Kazakh music.
The performances by the young artists added a special atmosphere to the event. The students sang, danced and demonstrated their talents. Their confidence and genuine joy on stage lifted the audience’s spirits, filling the library with beautiful music and children’s laughter.
The main highlight of the event was that the children not only learned about one of the prominent figures of Kazakh music, but also experienced his creative legacy through song and performance. Through Shәмші’s music, the younger generation discovered the value of national art and developed a greater interest in the cultural heritage of their homeland.
