A literary and musical evening dedicated to the 105th anniversary of poet Zhuban Moldagaliev was held in the Libraries of Almaty

On February 6, the Central City Library named after A.P. Chekhov hosted a literary and musical evening titled “Qazaqtyń Qaisar Zhubany”, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s national writer and poet, Zhuban Moldagaliev.

During the event, the creative legacy of the outstanding Kazakh poet, laureate of the USSR State Prize and the Abai State Prize of the Kazakh SSR, Zhuban Moldagaliev, was widely presented. A thought-provoking discussion was also held on his unique poetic style and civic stance.

The evening’s distinguished guests included Kazakh poetess, laureate of the State Prize, and recipient of the “Otan” Order Akuštap Baktigereyeva, professor at the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory Aigul Mustafayeva, as well as poet and member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Dauletbek Baitursynuly.
