Almaty Libraries Commemorate Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day

In the branches of Almaty Libraries, festive events were held to commemorate May 7 and May 9. As part of the cultural and educational program, patriotic lessons, creative meetings, historical-literary evenings, and thematic book exhibitions were organized.

A cognitive evening “Еркін елдің ұланымыз” was held at the Almaty Libraries branch (1B Belger St.), aimed at fostering patriotism in the younger generation and recognizing the value of independence.

The M. Auezov Library hosted a patriotic meeting “Отаным – бақыт ордасы”. The event was aimed at increasing the prestige of the Kazakhstan army and forming a sense of pride for the Motherland among youth.

Children’s Library №39 organized a spiritual-cultural event “Батырлық рухы – мәңгілік мұра”, dedicated to popularizing the heroic heritage of our people.

Children’s Library №30 hosted a historical-literary evening “Ұлы Отан соғысы туралы жыр”, dedicated to frontline poetry and the works of Kasym Amanzholov.

A celebration “Мәңгі өшпес ерлік – Ұлы Жеңіс” took place at the A.P. Chekhov Central City Library, honoring the feats of veterans and emphasizing the historical significance of the Great Victory.

In “Almaty Kitaphanasy”, a historical hour “Жеңіс туы желбіреп…” and a patriotic lesson “Мәңгілік елдің мәрт ерлері” were held, aimed at strengthening the love for the Fatherland.

Unique book expositions revealing the chronicles of the war years and celebrating the heroism of ancestors were presented on the library shelves:

The exhibition “Вехи памяти и славы” opened at the S. Begalin Central City Children’s Library, introducing readers to historical memory through fiction.

The Almaty Libraries branch (1B Belger St.) presented the exposition “Ұрпаққа ұран болған ұлы ерлік”, telling the life stories of Great Patriotic War veterans.

Children’s Library №33 hosted an educational exhibition “Ерлік – ұрпаққа үлгі”, featuring literature about the heroes and history of the war.

The M. Auezov Library held a bibliopodium “Бейбіт күннің батырлары”, dedicated to those who demonstrate courage daily, ensuring the peace and security of the country in peacetime.

These events are aimed at forming a patriotic spirit in the younger generation, strengthening responsibility towards the Motherland, and deep respect for the immortal feat of the heroes.
