ROUND TABLE: “THE CONSTITUTION IS THE BASIC LAW OF THE COUNTRY”

On August 28, the Central City Library named after A. P. Chekhov hosted a round table on the topic “Constitution — the basic law of the country”, dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by public figure Berdaly Ospan, historian-journalist Suleimenov Arman, judge of the Almaty City Court Sakenov Sovetkhan, veteran of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan Colonel Mukhamedzhan Abdibek, lawyer of the Almaty City Bar Association Shinkuat Baizhanov.

The main purpose of the round table is to inform about the constitutional structure and content of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to form a legal culture, to foster respect for the implementation of public laws and norms.

The participants of the event discussed the history and evolution of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan since its adoption in 1995. The participants of the round table shared their knowledge and experience in the field of constitutional law, as well as answered questions from schoolchildren and students, discussed topical issues related to the legal system and constitutional practice in Kazakhstan.
